About Developmental ODP (Olympic Development Program)

The Virginia Youth Soccer Association is pleased to offer a state-wide developmental program designed for U11, U10, and U9 players, both boys and girls. Developmental ODP or D-ODP is a state-wide program that replaced the successful VYSA Academy back in 2019. This program is designed to allow younger players the opportunity to be trained by many of the top coaches on the VYSA state staff and to be exposed to the best practices that the Olympic Development Program employs.

D-ODP trains players and exposes them to the benefits of US Youth Soccer's Olympic Development Program. Not only do players in this program receive quality training with other high-level players in their district but players receive the opportunity to compete with and against the best players from around the state and East Region (East Region encompasses 15 states in the Northeast part of the US). The Developmental-Olympic Development Program gives younger players a taste of what the expectations are at the highest level in the state.
