The NCS policies may be modified by the VYSA State Championship Policies. You must go to the State Cup Rules to be aware of the rules as you apply for State Cup.

In order to keep all teams up to date on game schedules, results and sometimes changes to fields and times, it is very important for each team to provide a primary contact and an email address. During the competition, the administrative information will be distributed by email through the Affinity email system. The game schedules and game results will be available on the VYSA Web Site.

All of the State Cup forms, the 2019-2020 seasonal Year Cup Calendar and the VYSA State Cup Rules are available at

Each of your team managers and coaching staff received the information about the closure of I-95 North around the Fredericksburg area at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 21. All teams need to make sure that their travel plans avoid this shutdown.  There are alternate routes North, but they will take some planning and some extra drive time.  Please consult your maps or GPS or WAZE or what every you use to make sure that you arrive at your game on time.  All teams traveling North on I-95 for a game should plan to leave earlier than normal and plan for some backups on the alternate routes too.

Please use the Bracket links to find your game day field and time.

Your Official Game Rosters will be available to print 2 days prior to your game.  There is a lot of information out on the VYSA State Cup web page to help you navigate through the season. In the drop box of State Cup you will find the Game Day Information. This information will give you instructions on how to print your Official Game Roster and add the score of the game to the Affinity scoring system. There is important information under each drop down link.  Please be careful that any players or team officials with a Red Card sitout are checked off or initialed by the referee at your game. All players and team officials with sitouts due are listed under Red Cards.

All rosters for State Cup are frozen on September 4 by midnight. After that date and time, no team can make any addition to their roster. The players checked as active on your State Cup roster in the Affinity system will be the players on your frozen roster.

Your team points of contact  will receive email from the Affinity system during the season. Make sure someone on your team is receiving these emails. Check you spam folder to make sure it hasn't been placed there.

It has come to the attention of the Cup Committee that there are still questions about laminating player and team official passes. This is required.

  • Passes in plastic pouches that are not sealed or in plastic pockets in a notebook will not suffice.
  • Each pass must be sealed by lamination.
  • Please bring only laminated passes for each player and team official to the match.
  • There has been some discussion about the need for additional laminated passes since all player's and team official pictures now appear on the State Cup roster. This can be a second check of players and team officials but it does not take the place of current laminated passes. In the 15U-19U age groups, with the limited substitution rule, referees hold the passes during the game to make sure that the substitution process is proper for each team.  Also the Regional and National Championships rules still require the presentation to the referee, of a laminated pass.
  • You must have your Official Game Day Roster form (State Cup Roster) and your laminated passes at every game.
