VYSA Teams Up with MOJO

Virginia Youth Soccer Association Teams Up with Innovative App MOJO to Support Youth Coaches and Bring New Resources and Excitement to Recreational Soccer

FREDERICKSBURG, Virginia (Sept. 15, 2022) - Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) and MOJO are excited to announce a dynamic partnership forged to bring innovative resources to recreational soccer. This new partnership enriches the grassroots soccer experience and puts easy-to-use technology and content created in consultation with top child development and youth sports experts in the hands of coaches, clubs and teams across Virginia.

Featuring high-quality video content, the free MOJO app empowers youth coaches to plan fun, engaging and effective practices with ease, with activities that are customizable for the age, skill level and preferences of each team and player. Virginia coaches and parents can download the free MOJO app through the App Store and create a profile affiliated with Virginia Youth Soccer Association. Once the profile is created, users will have access to MOJO’s library of content and practice plans personalized to their preferences and their team’s needs, including the new National Grassroots Curriculum designed by U.S. Youth Soccer exclusively for the MOJO platform.

Don Rawson, VYSA Executive Director stated, “Recreational soccer is where the love for the game most often begins and the Virginia Youth Soccer Association is excited to provide its membership with access to the innovative MOJO technology. These groundbreaking resources will aid in creating fun practices that foster the growth of recreational soccer across Virginia.”

“We are honored to work with Virginia Youth Soccer Association," said Tom Arnett, Chief Customer Officer of MOJO. "There is such a rich tradition of grassroots soccer in Virginia, and so many storied clubs throughout the state. We know we have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the playing experience of VYSA's entire grassroots community."

“This exciting new resource brings a key aspect of coaching into a modern platform,” said Gordon Miller, VYSA Technical Director. “It allows for easy access, while at the same time providing age-appropriate content to the practice field in real time. A big step forward.”

The free MOJO app provides everything a coach needs for a season of soccer. Coaches and parents alike can also upgrade to MOJO+ for exclusive access to world-class at-home training that helps kids be the best players they can be, plus new exciting premium features. A portion of all MOJO proceeds from Virginia will go back to supporting teams, players, and clubs in need across the state
