VYSA will honor the 2007 Coaches of the Year at the Workshop to be held February 1-2, 2008 in Richmond. VYSA selected Bill Delaney as Boys Competitive Coach of the Year and David Taylor as Girls Competitive Coach of the Year and Mark Bragaw as Girls Recreational Coach of the Year. VYSA is proud to announce that Mark Bragaw has also been selected as the Region I Girls Recreational Coach of the Year.
The Board of Directors of VYSA selected Karen and Dan Lybert as this years Volunteers of the Year for all their hard work and dedication. Mark Liskey was selected as the Administrator of the Year. Congratulations Karen, Dan and Mark!!!
This year's Young Referees of the Year are, Bethany Horstmann Young Female Referee of the Year and Ryan White, Young Male Referee of the Year.
VYSA has established a new award. The Dave Williams Memorial TOPSoccer Exemplary Service Award was established in memory of Dave Williams who passed away last year. Dave Williams was a wonderful volunteer in several areas of the soccer community. For many years, he chaired the VYSA TOPSoccer program, a national program for players with disabilities. Dave’s hard work, enthusiasm, and big heart helped bring the VYSA TOPSoccer program from just a few clubs to the many that now participate. Ariel Schwartz will be named as this year’s recipient of the Dave Williams award.
A surprise announcement of the selection of this years Adele Dolansky Exemplary Service Award will be made at the Awards Luncheon at the Workshop. Be sure to be there to find out who will be the recipient of this award for this year.
