Laminated Player Passes
required
It has come to the attention of the Cup Committee that there are still questions about laminating player passes. This is required. Passes in plastic pouches that are not sealed or in plastic pockets in a notebook will not suffice. Each pass must be sealed by lamination. Please bring only laminated passes for each player to the match.
When a Player/Coach is EJECTED/RED CARDED...
He/She MUST Serve a SIT OUT

Red Card Sit Outs OWED:
When a player or coach is EJECTED from a National Championship match (State, Regional, or National level of play), he/she is REQUIRED to serve the disciplinary “Sit Out” in the NEXT National Championship match that they play – REGARDLESS of the time elapsed, or for what team they currently play/coach.

Scheduling requests

The process of putting the schedule together for State Cup is complicated. We have referee availability,  travel time, coaches who coach two teams, field availability, and requests for specific times.

If we look at the schedule in the order of field availability, travel time for teams, coaching requests, referee availability and then the specific requests from teams, we have a puzzle that is very hard to make changes to. When we get requests for changes after the schedule is published, it is almost impossible to make changes. If you have a need for an earlier or later game, that request needs to be emailed to the Cup Committee at a minimum of 1 week before your game. If we have the request early we will do our best to work it out. If not, then we can't make changes. Your change will affect at least 3 other teams and sometimes more. Please be aware of the activities of the team you coach or manage and keep us informed. That is the only way that a schedule adjustment can be made.

Questions About Weather and State Cup Games

Your team must make sure that the manager checks the hotline and the State Cup web page for updates. We will try to call too, but that will be the last thing on our notification list. As soon as we know if a field is closed we will post it on the webpage and update the hotline. The hotline should only be used by the team managers, because it is not built for 1000’s of calls and can be impossible to access for any team if every parent is trying to call in.

All teams should be in cell phone contact with each other and must make sure that we have the cell phone number for the point of contact for the team. We will only post fields that are closed. Try to check before you leave for your game if you feel the weather will cause a problem.

We of course can’t be looking into a crystal ball to see what the weather will be like during the day.  If we start the day on a field, we will play the games unless a club, park authority, town, etc, closes a field or a referee calls off the games.
