VYSA State Cup Referee Assigning Information

The Virginia Youth Soccer Association State Championship (State Cup) is held annually. The U18, U17, U16, and U15 age group competitions are played in the Fall and the U14, U13, U12, and U19 age group competitions are played in the Spring.  Games are generally played on Saturdays, although make-up games may occasionally be scheduled on Sundays or weekday evenings.

 Preliminary round games are played at a number of venues around the state; semi-finals and finals are held at a single location selected each season.

 Preliminary round games are locally assigned (for example, Virginia Beach games are assigned by an assignor in the Virginia Beach area).  Semi-final and final games are assigned by invitation at the state level.  Referees wishing to be considered for the semis and finals must have worked preliminary round games that season.
