The Olympic Development Program is a national program that is designed to identify and develop the most talented, committed youth soccer players to represent their state, region and country in soccer competitions. Selected players identified through the Virginia ODP tryout process and scouting system will train for the honor of representing Virginia in Region 1 competitions.

The Region 1 ODP consists of 15 state ODP teams from Virginia and the northeastern United States. From these competitions the finest players in each age group in the region are selected to periodically train and compete together. The best players in the region then compete against the three other regions in the country for possible selection into youth national team programs.

This program is designed to showcase the best players that Virginia has to offer in order that they may move up the ladder to compete at a higher level of play.

Tryouts begin at the district level. For more information on VYSA ODP go to District Training.
