VYSA Presidents Cup Competition
Fall, 2011 - U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 Boys and Girls
Age Groups that may apply for Fall 2011 Presidents Cup are:
U-13...August 1, 1998 and younger
U-14...August 1, 1997 and younger
U-15...August 1, 1996 and younger
U-16...August 1, 1995 and younger
U-17...August 1, 1994 and younger
1. Applications are now being accepted for the VYSA Presidents Cup Competition, Fall 2011 for all age groups.
A. Your players must be members of US Youth Soccer with a VYSA player pass.
B. Your team must play Fall 2011 or Spring 2012 in a VYSA member league.
C. Rosters are not frozen for this competition until check in at the National Finals in July for the teams that advance to the
National Finals.
2. Your team must fill out the online application completely and pay the $325.00 by credit card at the time of application.
A. There is no need to submit your league roster to the State Office.
B. The application will be available on line until October 6, 2011 at 4:00 PM. Any applications submitted after the due
date and time will be returned and the entry fee refunded. No applications will be accepted late.
3. The Fall 2011 Presidents Cup is open to all eligible teams.
A. Teams may play in both the Presidents Cup and the National Championship Series (State Cup).
B. Teams will use their league rosters for all games. There will be no additional requirement for separate rosters.
C. Games dates for the Fall 2011 Presidents Cup will begin no earlier than Saturday, October22, 2011 and will continue
until the champion in each age group, both boys and girls is determined.
Please read all of the dates on the calendar posted on this web page. You should not apply if your team will not be able to play for any reason on any of these dates. There will be State-wide travel for the Virginia portion of the Presidents Cup. There will be no home and away draw and the games will be scheduled at the discretion of the Presidents Cup Committee. Travel on the scheduled weekends will be a necessary part of participation in the Presidents Cup.
The winners of the Virginia competition will travel to New Hampshire for the Regional Championship games. The Regional Tournament will be held over Memorial Day weekend, 2012 Those teams advancing to the National Finals will play, at a place to be determined, in July of 2011 All teams are expected to be committed to this travel schedule.
All communications with teams will be done electronically. Please make sure that you give us an email address that will be monitored on a daily basis. Information will also be posted on the Presidents Cup web page on the VYSA web site.
By completing the application process you and your players and parents agree to be available for all dates of the competition and intend to compete if your team is accepted.
