Virginia NCS Week 3 Recap

This past weekend 16 teams in Virginia’s 19U boys division met in Round two on their journey to become the Virginia State Champions of the USYS National Championship Series, the most competitive and prestigious youth soccer competition in the Nation. Here are some highlights from the U19 boys matches played Saturday.

Top-seeded Braddock Road Elite Academy topped Annandale Boys & Girls Club to play Beach FC Red Adipure in the Quarterfinals.  Beach FC Red Adipure claimed their spot in the quarterfinals by beating McLean Green in a close 4-2 match. 

Fredericksburg FC Boys Black bested DC Player Development Academy 4-1 and Southwestern Youth Association Red beat ODSC Riptide.  This sets up for an exciting 4-seed vs 5-seed matchup of FFC and SYA in the quarterfinals.

#3 Arlington Red went down to Springfield/South County Cyclones 2-0.  FC Richmond Magic will be moving on the meet SYC Cyclones after beating Herndon Black.  Beach FC Red Adizero beat Virginia Legacy in a close match with a final score of 3-2.  Our final quarterfinal matchup was set after Loudoun Red won over Stafford Revolution.  Loudoun and Beach FC and all quarter-finalists will play October 14.
