Coaching Demonstrations are being conducted by Jeff Pill, Jay Hoffman, our own Technical Staff: Gordon Miller, Matt Badiee and Paul Shaw, as well as Celia Mosier and Pat McCloskey. Each will share valuable information on coaching our youth. Coaches do not want to miss these sessions!

Lecture sessions range from Risk Management presented by Region I Risk Management Chair, Rick Tompkins and Mike Swain of Markel Insurance to two legal sessions being conducted by Jon Rockhind who represented VYSA and our insurance company in the recent law suit regarding goal safety as well as Virginia Commonwealth Appeals Court Judge Rossie D. Alston Jr. who will talk about consequences for behavior. Dan Friegang will join us again this year to conduct two psychology sessions you won’t want to miss. Scott Leff of the Bayer Center for Non Profit Management of Robert Morris University will do presentations on Board Management and Financial Reporting for Boards. Those working in management of VYSA Clubs and Leagues will greatly benefit from these sessions!

The Referees have a great line up of lectures being conducted by National Staff members Kermit Quisenberry, Mark Turner and our own Dan Heldman who will share his book “Demystifying the Myths of the Game”. All referees are encouraged to attend these sessions!

There are sessions on Administration from Running a Club and Hiring and Executive Director to Recruiting, Training, and Retaining Coaches of Older Players. Other sessions include Tournament Directors Roundtable, Background Check Procedures, Soccer Across America and many more.
